Charleville
We’re in Charleville, Queensland. Flooding in northern NSW and southern QLD has caused some road closures. We’re a bit further north than planned as a result.
It’s decidedly wet season up here. Rain and mid thirties are forecast for the next few days. The roadside vegetation is lush.
Charleville is a real outback town. They have rugby players on their water tower! We needed two new tyres. Because we were travelling, they just squeezed us in and fitted them. When we asked the manager where we could go for a coffee while we waited, she offered us the use of her car to save us walking. Nice! We’d been driving all morning so we walked anyway.
Now that we’re safely back in our home state, we’re just going to dawdle east to the coast over a few days.
