2022 Wednesday — Important Decisions

My big decision is at the end of this page.

The news from England today was delightful and quite welcomed. Prime Minister Boris Johnson made a significant announcement (see photo). Hooray for England!

According to the reports we've heard, the omicron variant has just about run its course. We've read and/or watched numerous reports about it and unless a person has some other outstanding circumstances, this variant has been and is quite mild, like a winter cold or flu, and most people get over it quite easily.

We listened to an Orange County, California doctor speak the other day about face masks. He explained that medical personnel have to go to training to be able to wear the highly protective N95 face masks. He said they have to be fitted to a person's face and he discussed how technical the discarding of the mask is because it is contaminated after wearing it once. He said the cloth and/or paper masks we are all currently using do not protect from virus, he says they would protect from bacteria, but he said that after every wearing they should be discarded and most of us carry/wear them under our chin, around our elbow, and then fling them onto the dash of our cars and there is nothing about them that is sterile, nor are they protective for Covid or the omicron variant.

This was a big decision in England — no masks, no injection/booster, and no vaccine passports. We hope they are leading the way for this decision to be made in many other countries. I'm sure Pfizer nor Fauci will be pleased with this decision. Oh well.

Today was my first meeting in San Luis Obispo with a nerve specialist to discuss my numb right thumb. We talked about what had happened to my thumb during surgery last July. She explained the procedure and the price for therapy to begin on my thumb. Mr. Fun & I agreed that we wanted to do this. It’s 16 treatments, 2 treatments a week or 8 weeks. I signed paperwork today and had my first laser treatment. My next treatment is this Friday.
