Date and Ginger Scones - Giant Size!
I regularly receive an email from “Delicious” and in the latest edition they had a link to 26 different recipes for scones. Well of course this definitely peaked my interest!! I decided I would set to this morning and try our Matt Moran’s version of a Giant Sized Date and Ginger Scone. Honestly, it was absolutely delicious. I didn’t to the last step which is a Mape Butter, but I don’t think it was a deal breaker. These were made with a 7.5cm scone cutter and I managed to get another 9 out of the recipe with a 6.5cm scone cutter. It’s been a baking sort of day so far but the sun has just started to poke its head out from behind the clouds. We are preparing for the big match tonight between Ash Barty and the young American Amanda Anisimova. It promises to be a “Block Buster” of a match. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the youngster playing Naomie Osaka on Friday night. She has an awesome ability to hit the ball incredibly hard. Ash will definitely have to bring her A game tonight.
PS - A message for my Blip Buddy Outdoorguy from the US - I’ll be washing my Busy Bee Apron after this lot my friend. It’s been doing the rounds of the kitchen for a couple of weeks now :)
