Pink Viburnum flowers.
The Feast Day of The Conversion of St. Paul of Tarsus.
In Scotland, Robert Burns the great Scottish poet is remembered this Burns Night.
Paul my husband is continuing his compassionate visit to his father after the sad death of Paul's mother on 22nd January. 2022.
Death changes so much. The comforting and reassuring presence of a loved one, taken from us, can be very disturbing, distressing, causing feelings that all too often are too deep to express. Each of us who were attached to the one now passed away, have to cope with the missing and emptiness of their presence at the table. There is no magic answer. Some suffer a lot. Others have a mature attitude. Some accept the fact there are life cycles and death can be seen as part of the cycle of human and animal life. We all need to be allowed time to grieve and come to terms with our individual way to face our life path, hopefully with kindness and understanding, mercy and God's love.
The Viburnum is flowering really beautifully within the Church garden, near the old gate. The plant seems weather resilient.
It is cold in the kitchen and bathroom but warm in our front room. Arthur our cat is asleep on the sofa enjoying the peace there. It is 4c according to the laptop outside temperature reading.
I am glad to be here at home. A new Vegan cookery book was delivered and Paul will hopefully enjoy trying the recipes with me. Another packet, not sure which one, was delivered while I was not near the door, so did not hear the knock. It is being re delivered tomorrow so I hope to be vigilant.
Have a good Tuesday afternoon and keep wearing your mask, if like me, it seems sensible in public areas.
