Dictionary project - Day 10 - Dismember

You can imagine my horror when the finger landed on this particular word. However, not one to be put off by the horrific potential of the word, I pondered awhile ...

Dismember - verb
1. To remove the limbs or members of
2. To cut to pieces
3. To divide or partition (something, such as an empire)

I actually didn't know that dismember could be applied in the context of partitioning a country, so I have learned something.

Poor gingerbread man...even after his horrific experience, and subsequent crime scene photography, he was still smiling ....right until I dunked his head for the final time in my cup of tea then ate him all up.
