The Light Room

Life's a Journey

Today was a typical 'early' spring day. Plenty of sunshine, bathed in a cool breeze. I really didn't fancy driving anywhere today, but needed to get out and get some fresh air and exercise. I basically did a six mile round walk from home to Burton Latimer, then Barton Seagrave, then back home again. This particular walk has only recently been made a lot safer (and therefore more accessible) by the construction of a new footpath and roundabout across the A6. I just had to try this new route out. It's amazing what you can discover on foot, that you'd otherwise miss by car. New discoveries were made, including a man-made lake near the Weetabix factory. Here is the church of St Botolph's, in Barton Seagrave. It overlooks the village green, and in the other direction footpaths and fields. It was good walk, I could've walked some more. Where is all this leading? Time will tell.
