Bubbles
It's been another "grace, chocolate and coffee" kind of day but with the aid of all of those (and God, and friends) we have made it through to bedtime relatively unscathed.
Church this morning, we were actually actually really honestly actually early for the first time ever I think, Bean was happy to go off to Sparklers leaving me on the front row where he'd decided we were sitting; Bear stayed in with me for some singing before he wanted to do something else and we went off to Creche where we stayed. He played, I created a quick craft, and crocheted. Ha.
Home via the shop for bits to make a gravy from the ham juices from the other day, and then the afternoon was spent playing, watching DVDs, making gravy to pot and store, playing outdoors and blowing bubbles (Bean brought home a pot of bubbles from preschool, the aim being to use up all the bubble mixture, rinse out the pot, and fill it with loose change to fund some new toys for the preschool), climbing the slide, digging in the dirt, inspecting the tadpoles (they are definitely growing, there seem to be several different sets of frogspawn in our outdoors bucket but only one set is actually growing) (at least it IS growing, though!), not falling over, and riding bikes. All good fun. I had fun with the self timer. I hate the self timer!! Trying to catch a shot where I'd lined the camera up pointing in the right place, focussed on the right sort of depth, and where the wind didn't instantly whip the bubbles back out of shot AND where one or the other of the boys was actually paying attention was hard work! This was the best of the lot, I quite like it really. They wouldn't pose any more after this!
Bread made, biscuit dough about to be used up, half the laundry done, washing up dealt with - we've done good today all in all.
Oh and today's cuteness: Bear has this toy rat that he likes to cuddle a lot at the moment. Bean cuddles a monkey at bedtime, Bear cuddles a rat. Not entirely sure why he's developed such an attachment to this rat. Anyhow Ratty has to give everyone (multiple) kisses which is cute. Bear has learn to actually kiss, rather than slobber, which is nice. And tonight, at bedtime, Ratty had to have milk too. Lovely.
