Mum’s Snowdrops
We had several attempts to plant snowdrops from my childhood home but they never seemed to work. Lack of green fingers ? Lack of skill ? Wrong kind of soil ? We couldn’t work it out. But I still loved those snowdrops and they were a part of my childhood : watching for them to appear.
After my mum died, I found that serious digging and clearing was a sort of comfort. The bottom end of our garden was an overgrown mess and it helped…….and like a miracle, I discovered a beautiful patch of Mum’s snowdrops.
When I moved,I took them with me.
And they have survived…….
Maybe Spring isn’t so far away ?
