Crawlers

We often see people playing or training for sport in the Meadows as we pass on the way to church. Mostly the sport is obvious, like football or athletics, although some years ago we saw this tumbler come rolling along beneath the trees.

Less identifiable was a mob crawling on all fours, quite quickly but with or without success. I wonder what game this is?
