Dawlish sunrise

An early start today as I met up with a small group of photography club members.  We started at Dawlish for a sunrise shot and then headed to Teignmouth for some pier shots and then breakfast.  After this we visited Babbacombe to view the tree, I was very glad I wasn't driving at this point its such a steep road down and up.  We next headed to Torcross taking various shots of the sea, cliffs and across to Slapton Ley.  After a quick lunch we headed to our final destination of Start Point taking time to look across to the remains of the village of Hallsands whose demise into the sea was exacerbated by the dredging of shingle from here and Beesands for the expansion of a Plymouth dockyard in the early 1900's.  We then walked across to Sharp Point and climbed around the nearby rocks for the last photos of the day.  Any hope of a colourful sunset sky didn't materialise but we had a great sunrise so can't complain.  It was a very enjoyable day under the guidance of David Clapp.
