RIP

Another giant bites the dust. This large Horsechestnut tree in the centre of the village has been brought down in sections by the tree surgeon. You may be able to see that rot was becoming established in the centre of the trunk. The woodland Trustees clearly thought it was sensible to end its life in an orderly fashion rather than risk it causing damage by becoming a victilm of the next storm.
It will be missed.
