Saturday: ALL DAY!

Just after 0900 there was a knock on the door.  It was the project manager for the build next door.  He came to explain that they were starting work on the foundations and that it would be quite noisy.  We asked him how long the work would take.  He said about a year, with the first three months being the noisiest.

Well, they did go at it all day.  At times the house positively shook.  Barney has been really out of sorts.  He hasn’t been able to go outside and he hates loud noises.  But, that said, we have really lucked out.  Imagine if this had happened a couple of years ago, particularly when we were at home so much during the early Covid days.  We will definitely escape the worst of it.

We did have a plan to head out today for adventures but were both quite tired so decided to catch up on a few things at home instead.
