Playing life by ear.

Hands

The hands of R with the fingers bending slightly backwards.
In the extras see the 76th birthday cake I made for S. It was supposed to be a rough sea with sailing boats ....of course he didn't get it.
The cake itself was much appreciated in the eating. Chocolate chip cake + chocolate custard + blue whipped cream on top.
I nagged poor A into getting his oboe out. He had already told me that it takes ages to assemble  and even longer to clean and put away but in the end he did it for us and played a few notes. Although I feel bad about putting him under pressure, at long last, after four months, we finally saw him play. As he prepared it he gave us a detailed description of the instrument and what he was doing.
I notice that L chews his fingers like his grandma.
It was a beautiful evening with a lot of laughter and being silly.
By the way, the empy bottles have nothing to do with the kids although L did drink half a glass of my home made sparkling wine.
