Garden

After the rain the weather was lovely so I did a few hours in the garden. I wanted to grow tomatoes in the (old) greenhouse this year but rather than growing in pots, I wanted to grow in the soil. This involved moving the stones that we had originally put in the greenhouse. However what I had forgotten was OH had put hardcore under the stones down first. A ten minute job turned into a two hour job but I was not going to be put off. I dug up the hardcore and then emptied one of the compost bins where the stones had been, so am ready for tomatoes to go in. Around four months early but you can’t be too prepared! There’s not much else to do in the garden at present so I was pleased to have a job which meant I could be outside. Feeling 100% better but still with ‘two lions’ I’m ‘confined to barracks’. Disappointed as No. 2 was going to pop in with Brazilian lovely but as she goes back to Berlin next week she definitely doesn’t want to catch my lurgy. Hoping to get negative test by Tuesday as we’re out in London - here’s hoping.

Photo is of my tulips - just starting to pop their heads up.
