Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Movie afternoon. Again.

Hazel came over this morning for a coffee and to admire the new machine. She was well impressed.

I took Archie out for a walk round the Lanes and through the graveyard. These ‘Lanes’ have been newly renovated, taking months and months. They are beautifully flat and smooth for the few pedestrians who use them. Pity that the town roads are in such a state of disrepair…

It was sunny but cold. Very cold. We passed by Dougal’s house, and Archie stopped and barked, wanting Christine to come out. Dougal was up at the window, barking back. But actually, they had a bit of a sniff of each other through the gate as we had a chat. Christine is walking SO much more with Dougal now - she even did the Big Steps today. With Rufus, she hardly got round the block, but she did get a lot of audiobooks read.

In the afternoon we went to the movies - ‘Parallel Mothers’, which was excellent. Long, but excellent.

I walked there and back, but hadn’t really intended to. (9,388 steps!!) We’d walked down to get tickets for ‘Belfast’ at the Cameo ‘Silver Screen’ (with free tea and biscuits) on Tuesday. Three movies in a week, after a couple of years of none…

New box of meals arrives tomorrow!
