Reminiscing and looking ahead

The same morning routine as yesterday: waking up to clear skies and lovely views (see extra), village bread shop, breakfast at the Gignod café, followed by a walk, again along the Ru Neuf but this time a bit further along towards Aosta.
We had lots of mountain peaks to look at, lots of time to enjoy the walk, and many memories of happy days spent in those mountains, sometimes together, sometimes with friends.
It's been a reflective couple of days, but with time to relax and think about the past and the future, what has changed and what hasn't, what is important and what isn't, what we should be thankful for and what we want to look forward to.
