He stuck a camera in my ears and we both enjoyed a journey down my auditory canals on his laptop. I wish I had blipped it. Any way after some mumbling and saying things like "Oh, haven't seen that in a long time." and "Tsk" he got out his little hoover and sluiced me out. Finally he shone his bright teeny torch in one ear and when a bright spot appeared on the wall beside my other ear he deemed the procedure a success. 

So a walk later with the dog and I could hear bird song, every footstep and I could even tell what gear the car was in without checking the rev counter.

Hurrah, that has taken weeks.
