Today's the day ......................  to see a film

I don't know why it's taken us so long, but this evening we went to see a film at The Cinema in Newton Stewart.

The film we saw was 'Belfast' - the newly released British coming of age comedy-drama film written and directed by Kenneth Branagh.  It has a great cast of stars including Caitríona Balfe, Judi Dench, Jamie Dornan, Ciarán Hinds, Colin Morgan, and newcomer Jude Hill. The film, which is based on Branagh's own early life centres on a young boy's childhood in Belfast, Northern Ireland at the beginning of The Troubles in 1969.

It was an original and entertaining film which I would thoroughly recommend .................
