Archie goes shopping
I checked my calendar this morning, and realised that it has been a whole MONTH since my consultant appointment, when she referred me for physiotherapy. I rang them, and they were quite apologetic, saying the waiting list is about 10 weeks, but the good news was that I’m ON the list, albeit only added on the 4th of this month…
So I asked for the consultant to ring me. I want her to explain what’s wrong with my back, using a model, which she did lament not being able to do on the phone call. So let’s do it then! What’s with all these ‘phone consultations’? What about proper face-to-face (masked, of course).
Anyway, I’m going to see her next week, get the full picture, then I will go to a physiotherapist in town. Though I have actually been to many of them over the years, all of them assuring me they could ‘fix it’. But now I will be armed with the definitive problem.
JR went off to the gym, then to BodyStreet. She loves it! Archie and I went into town, it was such a sunny day. I quite fancied an item I saw the other day, so went back to get it. Archie loved being in the changing room, and stuck his face under the door to see what was going on. (Extra 1) It’s great that dogs can come shopping too, and yes, he got a treat from the nice lady serving us for being such a good boy.
We I then took a notion to walk to Stockbridge, as it’s downhill, and it was a glorious day (Extra 2) We I had a coffee at The Pantry, which was mobbed. We sat outside in the sun, and Arch had plenty to look at. We walked along Circus Lane, the most instagrammed street in Edinburgh, and I noted one of the tiny flats is for sale (offers over £595,000!)
We didn’t have to wait long for our bus home. I popped in to the corner shop and got some delicious soft, chewy Hot Cross Buns. I was quite proud of myself for NOT getting chocolate. (5,936 steps)
JR took Arch out in the afternoon, and I had a bit of a snooze.
