Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Some for me, mum?

JR’s day off extreme exercise, but she went off to meet a gym pal for a morning coffee and a long awaited tour of her pal’s most wonderful house. She had seen inside briefly ages ago, and has been waiting patiently for a proper guided tour. She came back SO excited about it - such style…

Meanwhile I went on the bike, and saw Archie off for his walk with Robert. It was a nice morning, though it was pretty muddy up the hill.

We had a good catch up with Robert when they came back, and heard about all his plans. He’s in training for his next week-long walking holiday. And is also planning to move house - though not from this area, thank goodness.

JR went to the supermarket in the afternoon, but I did nothing. No, I did a bit of research on back problems, so that I can ask sensible questions when I go to see the consultant next week.

I’m rather disappointed that Randy Andy has settled his court case by paying his accuser an ‘undisclosed sum’. The prospect of a trial had promised to be terrific tabloid fodder.

But I was quite delighted to find a hoard of cute wee games from the NYT, the new owners of WORDLE. There’s a menu top left. You can see why they bought WORDLE - it fits right in with their addictive little online word games.

I had some nice cheese and a thick slice of San Francisco sourdough in the afternoon. Archie will keep up this unrelenting gaze for the whole time I’m eating. But he does usually get a teensy wee bit.

Big Storm heading our way tomorrow. And another one on Friday.
