We had a diverse & cooling walk this afternoon, occasionally out of the heat. Missy managed to slip off wet rocks into the river, twice! She managed to get herself out again both times too. Phew! She’s a trick.
We walked back to the car via the alpacas, who have been shorn recently. They look very odd, undressed even - see Extras

A longtime friend visited for 3 hours this morning and we had a thoroughly enjoyable catch-up, covering a multitude of subjects. We must have solved all the problems around us! He’s a mine of information on things botanical and helped with creative garden ideas.
