Visual Aid
I had an appointment with the physiotherapist who took my ailments to the neurosurgeon and got a diagnosis (at last) for my aches and pains. I wanted her to explain to me, with a visual aid (thoughts of teacher training college, when we were VERY hot on the use of ‘visual aids’ for every lesson). So she did. Seems pretty straightforward, and very common. And treatable, initially with targeted physio, then possibly painkillers, injections, surgery…
Just a wee pity that it takes 10 weeks to get a physio appointment… But she’s confident there will be an improvement, and she’s booked the 6 month review. If there is no improvement, then I’ll see the neurosurgeon.
And so I’ve made an appointment with a back specialist in town that I actually visited a few months ago, but now I’ll be armed with the diagnosis letter.
Archie went out with Robert, but he (Robert) wasn’t still there, relaxing with Archie in his lap, when I came home, unusually. He had to hurry off.
Today was JR’s day off exercise, so she went into town (she needs new jeans, she says), so I took Archie up to the cemetery in the afternoon. We met Christine and wee Dougal up at the shops. Archie is still NOT friendly with Dougal AT ALL. He went mad barking at him, but after a wee while he resigned himself just to glowering at him (from under his eyebrows). But Dougal ignores ALL unfriendly vibes, and I was able to give him a cuddle - he’s such a happy-go-lucky, lovable wee dug.
JR got waylaid at Hazel’s on the way home from town, so I made tea. A passable chickpea curry. T’was a shame that I burnt the onions…
