Putting the Pieces Together

Had an unexpected sleepover at Rebecca’s last night.
Yesterday afternoon she sent me a text asking if l wanted to do a dog walk around Barton reservoir and then an early dinner at Billy Bob’s . 
Didn’t need asking twice.
Good to be with all my granddaughters as it was half term.
Wasn’t planning to stay but didn’t need persuading and l keep spare pjs and toiletries in my room there.
Brought Kitty over to my village this morning as she had an invitation to go swimming with a school friend.
Took her for a hot chocolate and a cinnamon bun first.
Went for a walk and gathered some sphagnum moss.
Came back and filled up some wire baskets lined with the moss then planted violas , tête-à-tête and primroses .
Put them in the garden where l can see them from the kitchen.
Window cleaner came and helpfully removed the wind torn  box from my security system.
The gardener from next door has fixed the fence too.
Sorted out some used jigsaws and took twenty two around to the local care home where they were gratefully received.
