Playing life by ear.

By Crazyoldbird

Revelation, break away, halt, full stop.

I used to smoke quite heavily  in my younger years  while  feeling only vaguely guitly.
I stopped suddenly having been hit by a revelation of how stupid I was, without any effort  at all because once it was decided, it was done and with no looking back. Looking back is something I tend not to do anyway.

I couple of evenings ago I watched a documentary on TV about all that revolves around the relationships we have with our pets.
As underwhelming as it was, I was led, for the n'th time, to consider  what revolves around  the relationship we have with "other" animals, i.e.. the ones we eat.

Then something  bent again but this time, too far, until it snapped and the decision was made, done, never to be reconsidered.
I just cannot take part in the cruelty and  lack of repect  for animals that is required to produce meat.

Hence even more beans than usual and a trip to the chemist to buy vitamin B 12  supplements.

I have no idea what Humpy will make of this, but on reflection, all those years ago, he stopped smoking immediately after me, so who knows.

It seems that beans REALLY are good for the heart, not just in the silly kid's poem (Beans, beans, they're good for your heart, the more you eat, the more you........)and see how beautiful they are too.

Smiles to you all.
