Chilli Jam

Why didn't you tell me chilli jam was so delicious?

I'd never had it before, but yesterday I needed something to go with some salmon fishcakes I'd made. It needed to have a kick and look pretty on the plate (we had someone coming to a light supper). I'd heard chilli jam mentioned on the odd television cookery programme, but hadn't taken notice of a recipe. But I gave it a whirl. I had lots of home-grown chillies in the freezer, some grilled red peppers in the fridge and some cider vinegar and pectin-rich jam sugar in the store cupboard (affectionately known as Sainsbury's in this house). Twenty minutes later I had three jars of lusciousness. Even Ali, who normally finds chillies difficult, loves it. And it went perfectly with salmon fish cakes and home grown purple pak choi.

So what else haven't you told me about?
