Diary of an Edinburgher

A Pip visit

I knew it was going to be a nice day, so I insisted that we go to Porty. And let’s see if Pip wants to come, too. So, once JR was back from the gym, and had her two breakfasts, we collected Pip, harnessed him into the back seat and set off. Archie has to sit in the front, and I’m ready to shove his face into one of his poo bags if need be.  And yes, he was sick, just as we neared the beach.

We had a nice time at the beach (Extras) with the dogs running between us for irresistible liver muffin treats. It was quite busy, and Pip isn’t keen on other dogs, so we didn’t hang about too long. Besides, it was quite cold.

On the way back through the Park, JR decided to walk home with the dogs (14,195 step total for the day!). The dogs were very happy about that. And JR took this splendid photo! (I have trained her well).

In the afternoon, with both dogs snoozing, our next door neighbour came to return the muffin box (on his crutches) and to regale us with his operation stories (TWO new hips!) He had to perch on the edge of the sofa, as he can’t sit down low.

Pip’s mum arrived too, so we had a convivial afternoon. The situation in Ukraine was not mentioned at all. We’re lucky that we can ignore it for a while. The news coverage is very distressing.

I did my exercises (twice). My stomach muscles are sore. This is good.
