Largs

Woke up to a beautiful day so we had a trip out, firstly to RSPB Lochwinnoch (last of the local-ish reserves) which was quiet for birds but quite loud with children.  Then we nipped to the coast to Largs just to see what was there.  Nice little seaside town, chip butty for lunch, Calmac ferry to Great Cumbrae going back and forth, then well priced hot drinks, cakes and ice cream from the Italian cafe.  Came home and it was still sunny out, such a nice change after all the wet!  So I cleaned up the very messy bird table and the rabbit poop from the artificial grass from round the front (I hate artificial grass!)

Whilst we've been exploring, we've been listening to the Trojan War podcast which gives a great telling of the old epic.  The storytelling is fun and the host does some extra insight and wrap up on the story and the wider contact at the end of each episode.  Really worth a listen if you're in to that sort of thing.
