Day 10 of Peak District Holiday

Well we woke up this morning to find it bucketing down with rain .... and this continued all through till lunchtime. By then, we were going a bit stir crazy cooped up in the cottage so decided to go out for a scenic, countryside drive to Matlock.

Once there, the rain had eased off a bit so we went up High Tor. It's a nice gentle climb and from the top you get amazing views over Matlock Bath and the cable cars. There are so many chasms in the rocks which looked like they'd be great fun to explore, but are fenced off with warning signs advising visitors to keep to the paths. Bah humbug!
