Lurking
Bean and I walked at Cape Wanbrow today after a morning in Oamaru. She spent a lot of time charging in and out of the trees through which the walking track winds.
We met a beautiful German Shepherd and his human, with whom we chatted (humans) and sniffed nether regions (dogs). A thoroughly lovely encounter. I was far too taken up with conversation to take a photo of China and Lou. Doh.
The first day of autumn has seen me tidying up the spent brassica beds and line trimming round the trees in one of the shelterbelts I planted three years ago.
Whilst in town I found a pair of new walking shoes, to replace the current ones which are losing their soles. They were on special, with 50% off, which always makes me feel good. Incidentally I buy new shoes, undies, and socks, but try to get other clothing second hand.
Now the sun has gone and it’s thundering all around. I love a good thunderstorm.
A good start to the new season chez Mima and Bean.
