Very lovely afternoon spent with our American friends Matt and Lori.

Despite it snowing earlier in the week, it was decidely balmy today; we were determined to take advantage and ate outside.

Being excellent hosts, M & L introduced us to some proper down home Southern cooking - barbequed oysters and shrimp and grits. I've always wondered what grits were; now I know - delicious.

We repared to the local later to celebrate LOH's birthday (she's still in one piece babywise).
