Portland Down Below

I did remember to bring my camera along on today's walk in the hills. Oregon is well known for being a very green state, especially evergreens. This time of year, the dark green trees become the backdrop for the young, emerging deciduous vegetation. I love the fact that we live in an urban area but can walk to a hilly forest. The best of both worlds.
