Curry tonight

I got cracking with the cooking this morning and Mr C set to with the cleaning for his pal Dennis driving from Suffolk in his 2CV. 4 other friends are coming to eat with us tonight.

I prepared -
Cauliflower and Potato Curry
Dahl and Spinach
Beef Passanda
Did the spices for Spiced Basmati Rice
Made a dipping sauce
And finally, for the first time since the 70s,
Pakoras. What a messy clart-on they were but hopefully they’ll reheat for a starter.

Pudding is a white chocolate and orange mousse thing that’s to come out the freezer 10 minutes before we need it.

Dennis had a good journey up and Mr C has taken him out for a short leg-stretch to assess how he’s managing the hill - Dennis is on a wee chemo wash for bladder cancer every 6 weeks and wants to have a hill walk but we aren’t wanting to over-tax him - Suffolk is very flat!

I was glad to see a fellow-blipper who has experience of these things remind us to send money to help Ukraine and not contribute to collections of stuff.
