Tunes

Nothing on the telly so we are listening to a random selection of tunes via the TV from my computer. Technology is a wonderful thing.

Received a phone call this morning from my boss, checking how I was. I think he expected a relatively quick chat. No chance. Had to ask him a gazillion questions about work. However, I was told in no uncertain terms that I have one chance to get myself well and healed so as much as I can have conversations, I am not going to be doing any work. Felt better for talking to him...reassured that he knows I have to get this right.

Today has involved working with James to get him to do his French assignment. Only took 90 minutes. He has done his science (about 2 hours). He still has ICT ( a couple of hours) and his Ethics, Philosophy and Religion (because calling it RE would just be too easy)...that will be another couple of hours.

I really despise homework. As a teacher and as a parent. I despise it even more when the assignment briefs are confused and lacking clarity, or just incorrect. His science assignment required him to include a particle diagram to demonstrate heat transfer by radiation. As far as I understand, that's incorrect. His ICT. Assignment has some random instruction about code which makes no sense even to me as an ICT teacher of some 18 years.

He gets stressed, he avoids them, I get annoyed, we fall out. And that is why I really hate homework.

Managed to get out with Mum to Marks and Spencer. Bought a dress, a top and a swimming cozzie. Just need to keep the weight off!

Nana is not good. Everything else fades into the background in comparison to that.
