Archie goes shopping
I set off to the gym in plenty of time for my one-to-one session with a staff member. In fact, I intended doing a session on the cross trainer beforehand. But my steely resolve of the last week or so evaporated… (Extra)
When I had my meeting with Thomas, where I told him I needed to strengthen my back muscles (in truth, every single muscle I possess) he was slightly worried that he might tell me the wrong things to do, and he’d like a referral from the NHS physio. (That 10 week wait must be almost over…) However, he did show me a contraption for back stretches, where you wedge your feet and legs on the machine to balance, then lean right over, in mid air. Whooo! I got a bit lightheaded, and couldn’t do it properly, I had to hold on. There was another new exercise using the ropes, and squatting. Then all the other usual ones - crosstrainer etc. However, I just did 20 minutes on the treadmill and departed.
Robert excused himself from a walk with Archie today, he has an Achilles injury. And so JR, who was going into town with Hazel, took Archie with her. He really LIKES shopping! He was in some posh shops (and had worn his new bow tie for the occasion) and the staff always made a fuss of him. JR was ‘just looking’ but Hazel splashed out! (Extra 2)
When I came home I watched the news.
