Spring bulbs

The bark area around my compost heap has been planted with various flowers in a sort-of-organised way but squirrels always dig up or move bulbs so things end up popping up where I don't necessarily expect them. 

Still, it's nice to see these gorgeous spring bulbs I'd completely forgotten I planted. 

And despite my efforts to try and keep the number of muscari bulbs in check, they still pop up everywhere around the plot. They look good and provide early nectar for bees so I'll just let them grow where they like!
