Compost heap and burn pile

I still need to finish a couple of 'building projects' before the proper start of the growing season. 

One of them is to drill bits of timber to the front of my compost heap to stop the compost from falling off into the path. I've already wombled a few and denailed a pallet but a few more would be ideal.

I've cut them to size but will need to collect more materials and get a new drill (as my drill obviously decided to die in the middle of this job!).

Because I need to prepare my potato bed, I've had to clear the burn pile and prepare it for a bonfire. I have a friend who's really good at these things so it's been arranged for next week.
