Bruce Bogtrotter’s cake

I made this chocolate cake specially for my niece who loves chocolate cake. The recipe was devised by Gary Rhodes for the television series Roald Dahl’s Revolting Recipes back in the late 1990s. The only thing revolting about the cake is that it is very rich and it’s virtually impossible for anyone to eat more than one slice at a time, not even my niece!
