It can snow in Paradise.

You know it wasn’t easy getting here to Madeira this time. Serious high winds meant that nothing was getting into or out of Madeira airport until Wednesday. Well, they also had quite a bit of snow (for them), and it has lingered in the highest peaks. I noticed this as I was waiting for my bus back after a leisurely lunch in the strong sunshine.

Before lunch I had the pleasure of meeting AuntieP and her husband at the Magic Tea Room, not far from one of my favourite restaurants. 

It was lovely, and we were in the Company of several enormous Monarchs and geckos. My extra is a Monarch (as so often)
