Early Morning Walkies

I was awake early this morning and it was such a beautiful day so I decided to get up and take the boys down to the beach. We were there by 6.45am and had a lovely 2.5 mile walk along the prom, stopping at the new pier on the way back.

After breakfast I went to meet the Nordic walking group but the weather very quickly changed as a big cloud came over and it rained a bit - the result was another lovely rainbow (see my extra). It was also very windy so we had a very brisk walk around the reserve. I didn’t stop for a hot chocolate today as I needed to go and do a food shop and then head home to pack as we’ve booked a holiday cottage on Anglesey from tonight until Monday.

As soon as Alan finished work we loaded up the car and we arrived at the cottage which is a converted dairy barn, at about 6.15pm. The owner who lives in the farmhouse came over to meet us and showed us how things work, he was very friendly and quite a character!

The cottage is beautiful and very nicely furnished, there’s a fully enclosed courtyard which is great for the dogs, and tomorrow the owner is going to bring out the garden furniture for us as the forecast is looking great!
