Derelict Udalstoft

A right windy day, but pretty much sunny all day.  Winds easing tonight.

Up fairly early, and got washing out on the line.  Headed out walkies with Sammy, and popped by Madeline's for a cuppa.  Met friend Julie for walkies in the afternoon.  Working in the shop this evening, and a steady evening of customers.  More walkies, then feet up for the night. 

While out walkies, we bumped into friend Marvin (Hutchison), his family came from the area, and he told me quite a bit about life here.  One thing we did puzzle over, was the origins of this house name.  Behind me there is an old cemetery, although not marked and the possibility of a Chapel in the area, I'll need to get digging and see if I can come up with anything.  It's such a sad township now, they say when the road came in, the people went out.  This is the newest house to be built here, back in the 1950s, and it's sadly falling into disrepair.  The roof has many holes now, so a gale could easily take it.  The new/old croft house of Udalstoft, Collafirth, Delting.
