Portraiture
I managed to get back to my art class this morning. We were tasked with doing a portrait using graphite powder , and pencils and kitchen paper . It was a new process to me and I enjoyed it . I did a portrait of my son Laurence when he was around 9 years old .
I then went up to see my Mum who was not wanting to eat her lunch, only a few mouth fulls of jelly and melon. She was not talking.
I then had a phone call from social work re Mum moving to a care home . I found this stressful as they think mum has capacity. It’s a difficult area , but as mum does not know my name at times, it’s hard to think she can make meaningful decisions on her future care.
I contacted an extra 2 care homes on top of the 3 I had already contacted . So hopefully Mum can get a place locally not in Stranraer that had been suggested. Thankfully Mum is blissfully ignorant of everything and is happy where she is . I had to explain that she could not stay there .
