Changeable

I woke to fine snowfall, and a thin covering outside (see extra), but it soon stopped. I spent the day setting my exam, happily distracted by answering case study questions from my students, and stretching (independent) hands around the world in discussing a solver issue of common interest. The interface developer was in the US, and the user was in Russia. The Russian felt the need to apologise for his nation but, of course, as I said in my reply, most individuals in countries whose behaviour I might regret - or even despise - are just ordinary folk who want peaceful lives with family and friends, and it's they who will suffer for their leaders' follies.

I took a break in the afternoon for a wander in the pleasant sunshine. It was chilly, but clear, with just a little snow remaining on the Pentlands. The daffodils are out around Old and New Penicuik House, so the Estate was a pleasant place to be.

Had I not blipped the flowering currant yesterday, I'd have been tempted to use the photo I took of our camellia  (see extra) which is flowering very well - a sign of the winter having not been too cold.
