Book launch

Arrived back at Heathrow at around 7 am after a long and sweaty flight. We were held on the tarmac for about 40 minutes in temperatures of over 30 degrees due to adverse weather and the plane got very very hot. The cabin never seemed to cool down much even when we were in the air.

Got home, showered and had a quick nap before logging on to work in the afternoon.

Met up with some book group members to go to a book launch at a local book shop. Very exciting as it was one of my friends' first book. She read some of her poems to a crowded audience and then signed copies for us. She also has a novel coming out later this year.

We then headed off for a meal and a brief discussion on our latest book. Managed to keep awake (just) and looking forward to a good night's sleep.
