Friday: Sprouting Sea Cabbage ...
... Not an April Fools joke, I assure you!!
Weather a repeat of yesterday, bright, breezy and chilly - perfect for drying another load of washing :-)
Today's gardening job was to start planting up the new deep bed: 2 x wild sea cabbage plants from cuttings (they don't look very happy!), 2 x wild chicory left over from last year and an Italian red chicory, in between them American land cress and a few red veined sorrel and lambs lettuce, then 2 rows of last Autumn's pickling onions. A good layer of old commercial compost and lawn clippings, then a good watering ... and crossed fingers that they'll grow!! See today's extra photo ...
Was really tired after all that and had an hour or so of relaxing with a book, also a very quick chat with The Sailor.
MrD on deliveries all day.
Hope everyone has a relaxing and enjoyable weekend xxxx xxx xx
Stay safe & healthy & happy everyone :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
