Sprucing Up

Our goal was to be at our mother’s home by 8:00 am, earlier than I have been out of bed lately. We were satisfied to arrive by 8:30. Hubby and our BIL had a few tasks on their self made “honey do” list. Thankfully the rain stopped before the work began. They righted a privacy fence that my cousin found on the ground. It had fallen between Momma’s property and the neighbor’s. Guess it will need power washing. They picked up around the sheds to make grass cutting easier. The electric light pole on our mother’s pier had rusted and fallen causing a shock hazard. The guys replaced the wiring, plug and conduit to provide a totally safe set up. My sister has a beautiful kale patch. She brought our mother enough to freeze five meals for company. We’ll take her to the dermatologist and grocery shopping tomorrow and I’ll go down for a telehealth appointment on Friday so she won’t be alone those days. And, she hosted an eight person card party last night complete with a full meal and dessert. It is definitely time to find our recliners, there is nothing that doesn’t hurt on all our bodies. Such old ….. Thank you for visiting my journal. News of more COVID spread is concerning. Stay safe friends.
