50mph wind but no rain…

After a night of very high winds and disturbed sleep we were delighted to wake up to sun and no rain…even if the winds were 45-50mph all day.

This is a view of Dungeness power station plus the old lighthouse  and a reluctant dog in the foreground…she really did not want to go for a walk in the wind.

Later in the day we went on the miniature railway to Dymchurch and there we went to the Amusement Park. I had been told about it by friends..it’s quite old fashioned with rides suitable for younger children and free entry.  You then just buy tokens and each ride needs a certain amount. The grandchildren really enjoyed it as they have not really been to a funfair type place before. There was also an indoor amusement arcade with old fashioned slot machines where they still use 2d     pennies! You just buy £1 worth.
