Unknown statue

Today was our last day in Hackney so we accompanied M to a cafe where she was meeting friends before heading home.
Near the cafe was this statue which reminded me of Ukraine and how we as a country should be treating the refugees. Instead, we just put bureaucratic barriers in their way. I am so ashamed of the way we have treated people in such grave need of support.
