View from the commentary box

My brother, whose Ruby Wedding do we went to recently moved. Next door. From No 18 to 20.

We had a guided tour of their “new” house this morning before setting off back to Kent.

He likes his cricket. His previous house overlooked the same ground (being next door),. This one has the benefit of an additional room which he has christened the “Commentary Box”, giving great views of the ground and the landscape beyond.

Like the coastguard he keeps a lookout over the ground and pavilion, observing many nefarious goings on involving the local youths, occasionally having to call in the constabulary..

We bade them all farewell for the long journey south which fortunately was uneventful. It was only when we were on the M25 that the usual rash of idiots appeared. There seems to be more of them around here than elsewhere.

Fortunately, our exit from the M20 was before the closure brought about by Operation Brock which by all accounts caused no end of chaos and disruption over the weekend
