St. George slays the dragon

Todayis St.George's Day and I went to Ellesmere to watch the reinactment of the story of him killing the dragon performed by Fizzgigs, the local arts group.  It took place in the car park/beer garden of a local pub.

Thee group do lots of performances and so had all the costumes and props. It was very good.  The damsel in distress is the man who always plays the pantomime dame, he's brilliant at it!

Afterwards I went for a walk along the canal as I was in town.  Meanwhile F was busy putting up swift nesting boxes on his next door neighbour's house.  His scaffolding came in useful again! There is an extra photo of him doing it.
