Hawthorn

A busy little day, and a remarkably productive one too. Managed to combine a trip to the pharmacy this morning with a wander back along the Canal.

The plant ID app on my phone identified this budding tree as a black hawthorn. Another photo of the same tree was identified as an alder-leaf mountain-mahogany, a tree native to the western United States. Think I'll stick with the former!
